SandVenture Aquatic Parkis a unique water park featuring a sand bottom chlorinated pool that is surrounded by a sand beach and a new sand play area. It also features a 300' waterslide, two 12' drop slides and a diving board. The height requirement to use the slides is 48" tall of the individual must have a level 4 swimming ability. The Aquatic Park is staffed by American Red Cross trained and certified lifeguards and is open June through August.
In 2007, the Aquatic Park was updated with a new support building that includes a concessions stand, family changing rooms, locker rooms, and a picnic area. In 2008 the Aquatic Park will see another big improvement with the replacement of the waterslide and addition of shade structures.

Closing Procedure
for Inclement Weather: If
the temperature is less then 65 degrees or the number of swimmers is less than
15 at 1:00 PM,the Aquatic Park may be closed
at the Parks and Recreation Department's discretion. Please call the Pool Info Line for daily updates. Evening swimming lessons will still be held at their regular time.
